Biography
I grew up in Stillwater and graduated from Stillwater High School. I received my degree in hotel and restaurant management from UW Stout after taking a year off to work up funds to pay for college. At Stout I met my bride-to-be Margaret to whom I have been happily married for 23 years. Together we have three fantastic children; Andrew, Adam and Amber. Because of the time demands of the service industry I left the business and have been primarily self employed for the past 15 years within the construction field. First as a “handy man” then a general contractor and currently as a insulation contractor.
As a child, politics were of mild interest seeing as my family members were strong DFL proponents. At that time my views also leaned in that direction. My interest in politics grew after college and I made a commitment to stay current in my surroundings as a proud American citizen. As I listened to and studied political views and conversations I became a more conservative minded individual.
I have grown to be quite fond of politics and have become very passionate about influencing the world for the better. I have decided to enter the political arena this year for it has been a joy and constant occupier of my thoughts. I simply cannot ignore the signs that politics is what I am meant to do. I am running for District 43B which includes Oakdale, North Saint Paul, and some of Maplewood.
One of my goals in entering politics is to restore the image of politicians. Especially among the younger generations, politicians have begun to look like scam artists. I plan on bringing to light the truly honest work that most politicians do and replace the standards that have led to this negative view with those of integrity.

Kevin, what a very impressive service statement! If I was an undecided voter, I believe your statements would sway me your way. I truly pray that the constituents will find you a worthy candidate and vote you into office!
